Spring season 2027 begins March 1st. Meet after school at the RHS Track. Typically, our season runs for 10 weeks with league meets starting on March 25th, followed by 3 weeks of post season competition for those athletes who qualify (metros, districts, and state), wrapping up the last week of May.
You must have all your “Final Forms” paperwork completed and a valid physical on file.

Invitationals: Roosevelt athletes will have the opportunity to qualify to compete in 4 invitationals this season. Most meets have strict qualifying standards and a limited number of entries for each school. Talk to your event coach to see how to qualify.
Seattle Public Schools does not charge a fee for athletes to participate in sports. This means our team needs support to cover the basic costs.
We are asking families to pay a participation fee of $100 per athlete. To pay, please press the “Donate” button at the bottom of this page and select “Track & Field” from the drop-down menu. Or, you can write a check to “Roosevelt Athletic Boosters Club” and give to Coach Jewett.
This fee is a suggested donation amount. We appreciate if you can give more to support those students who are unable to pay the full amount.
Items previously purchased through our Track & Field RAB donations:
Uniforms, warm-up jackets
Team social events
Invitational meet entrance fees
Team tent, tarps, sandbags to cover long jump pit
Javelins
High jump pit, relay batons, extra spikes & supplies (PR buttons)
End of season award plaques/letters and banquet supplies
The Metro League has 17 schools and this year, only 4 locations for meets (Nathan Hale, West Seattle, Eastside Catholic and Ingraham). To help these large meets run smoothly, the district is assigning each school to run specific events at each track meet.
